Each year we eagerly anticipate the (usually sunny) PAWSwalk where thousands of avid animal lovers and their dogs walk to raise funds in support of PAWS, a nationally recognized leader in rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless pets, and educating people on how to make the world a better place for both humans and animals. CWM proudly hosts an annual food and holiday toy drive for Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOAWW). Each year attendees of our annual holiday Gingerbread House decorating client event are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items and/or holiday toys to share in the spirit of the giving season. CWM has supported Lynnwood Intermediate over the past several years by subsidizing camp costs to make the enrollment fees more manageable for students and their families. Students participate in experiential and project-based fieldwork that appeals to many different learning styles and interests. Using the cultural and natural environment as a context, Outdoor School's programs integrate scientific inquiry, technology, and the arts. (Since 2006)

KIRO Radio and Comprehensive Wealth Management teamed up to present the 2013-2014 Standout Student Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements made by young scholars. Nominations for local students who stand out in the classroom, school, and community were received throughout the 2013-2014 school year. Each month one student was awarded a $1,000 scholarship, and automatically entered for the $10,000 grand-prize scholarship. The students were also recognized on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM and on MyNorthwest.com/student. CWM sponsored "Drinks 4 Drinks", a fundraiser to benefit Charity Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing to clean drinking water for people in developing countries.

CWM's Market Outlook 2012 at the Seattle Aquarium included a special community service project in which we invited clients to join us in assembling 100 backpacks and four early learning pre-school kits for children in need.
Each year, the Edmonds Community College Foundation hosts a golf tournament to raise money for the Foundation and support the mission of the Foundation. The proceeds go directly to support college programs and student scholarships. (Since 2009)
As an active member of the Rotary Club of Alderwood-Terrace, Kris Muhlestein regularly participated in a variety of service projects that directly benefited the local community.
COO Shilo Lockett inherited her father (Gary Arford's) enthusiasm for service and is currently a board member for the Sno-King Youth Club. The Northwest Business Institute (NWBI) is the educational arm of the South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce.
